The Goal

We were approached by Funko Games to create a how to play video for Disney’ Happiest Day, a family-game replicating the experience of walking through Magic Kingdom Park.

The Process

We talked with Adam about creating a big fun video that would capture the theme and experience of being at the park. Funko created incredible illustrations of various Disney rides and attractions, which made the process of masking and creating assets so easy.

We created an opening sequence that shows off many of the locations as a walkthrough, with rides and characters moving to and fro while you explore the park in a first-person view.

The game also features a day/night switch, where you flip the board and everything changes up a bit to reflect what it’s like to be at the park in the evening. This is a magical time in its own unique way from the daytime hours.

Beautiful artwork makes animation easy work.

That’s our favorite takeaway from animating this how to play video.
