The Goal

We were approached by Funko Games to create a :30 promotional and 2:30 how to play video for the family game Indiana Jones Throw Me the Idol!

We needed to make something exciting, thematic, and concise.

The Process

We started by doing what every Spielberg lover would do—watch a lot of Indiana Jones clips on Youtube.

From here, we created a script and storyboard to help tell the story of how to approach the video. We wanted to make something fun to watch while also taking advantage of the great illustration work by the Funko team.

We ended up going with a campy voiceover and some knockoff Indy-themed heroic music for background.

The Seattle video team that provided footage did an excellent job of capturing emotions around the table, and this helped us make a fun, exciting video.

The game itself features players doing a lot of action like ring toss and blindfolded activities. It was crucial to see players acting these out instead of trying to do it all with motion graphics. This is why action is almost always best with actors. Let the graphics teach the rules, let the actors sell the game.

This was a super fun project, and we are so proud of the final results.

Congrats to the Funko Games team for releasing such an exciting game to the world!
